The guy is building the D44's for me with Detroits and what ever gears I want. I am thinking 4.56 with the 35" tires but it is a daily driver also that gets a ton of miles lately cause it is my ONLY vehicle. I am running 3.73 now with out too much issue, should I split it and go with a 4.10? I am trying to not kill the MPG too bad.

There is hardly a difference between 3.73's and 4.10's.. I would run the 4.56's with the 35's. I cant remember is it a auto or manual? what are you taching out at 65mph and we will figure what difference you will see.

4:56's, i ran that gear on my 91 yj (4.0 liter) manual trans with 35's on it. i was able to go 75 mph still and i did not have to downshift on hills going 65 mph and i had plenty of low end torque

5Speed

And that brings up anther dumb question. I never replaced the speedo gear and my GPS says that my Speedometer is off (i knew this) but does that also throw off the tach?

35s and 4.56 gears are great and highway friendly. I could do 70 on the highway with the SSR tires and 5th gear was finally usable. You will be pleased with it and if you ever decided to change your mind it would be easy to sell.

I agree on the 4:56 as well. Had them in my 90 yj with 35's and did excellent on the Hwy as several others have said

Sounds like a resounding vote for 4.56

I will call him in the morning. I should have them right after the new year and hope to have them installed by the summer.....
