| There are 3,000 acres at this place. I have met some guys in Va that have been there. Info on the web is a little scarce. Has anyone been there or heard anything about it? | |

| It is a different kind of wheeling there. there is a lot of rock and loose sediment which makes traction difficult. hill climbs creek beds etc. trail ratings are from mild to almost wild. Bigdogsoffroad.com is the site for information on their events held 4 times a year. If you go alone then it is a little pricey. If you take the family it is outright expensive. Event cost : "NOTE: FOR WINCHESTER events there is a $25.00 per person, land use/camping fee for this event. Kids less than three feet tall, independent of age, are $10 per weekend. Includes trail access, campsite, hot showers, rifle range, hiking, fishing, use of grounds. Paid on site. Hotel Accommodation information can be found HERE.
BIG DOGS OFFROAD provides experienced trail guides, plenty of action, and a good time with good "wheelers". Limited number of vehicles at each event, first-come-first served. Open to licensed 4-wheel drive vehicles, we have plenty of rugged action for you. BIG DOG T-Shirts Sold at each event.
Cost is $68 for the event plus the land use/camping fee. So one person $68 plus $25 equals $93. If you bring someone with you add another $25. For a family of 4 it is $68 plus $100 land use/camping fee making a grand total of $168 for the weekend trip.
I may go this year to a 3 day event which does cost a little more but there is a lot more to the 3 day events than the 2 day events. Music, raffle and night mud bog etc. This event is not a family friendly event. There are a lot of drinkers at the campsite that don't know how to drink in moderation. That is not a rumor it is a fact that I have experienced on every event I went on. [b]It is not advertised as open to the public and Bigdogsoffroad pays the insurance. Big Dogs says there is to be no wheeling at the cove outside of big dogs events. | |

| I just noticed that on 3 day events the land use fee is $35 per person for the weekend and $78 for the event. $113 for the weekend for individual. $178 for family of 4 or about $60 a day. | |
