2008 New Year Club Run January 12th

Ok, it's posted on the Meet Up Site, we are going to the Creek, snow bound weekend. I would like to see those people that haven’t made it out yet come and join me. Open to all trail levels. Great time to learn the how to in the snow, there will be winching I am sure too. Who's all going to join me?

as of now I plan on being there love the snow and if it's cold there will be no top on the jeep the only way to wheel.

Wish I could be there but Ill be just getting home from vacation and dont think the 90 degree temp change in 12 hours would be a good thing (plus wife would kill me leaving her to unpack)

Well I will have to see. I'm moving in to my new house after the 1st of the year. If everything is good I will be there running Blues and Blacks (in the snow they are Blacks and Reds)

Sounds like fun. Unfortunately, I don't see me making a 5,000 mile journey for it anytime soon! Besides, what is this "snow" you speak of? Out here we get rain...lots of it this time of year.

Anyway, I'll keep an eye on the forum for stories and pictures.

Hows the fishing down there?

Not bad if you fish in the ocean. I wouldn't eat anything from the river that runs through East Range, though. Might wind up with lead poisoning! Actually, there's a spot on the island that I like to go where people are always surf fishing and bringing in BIG fish. Was out there last month and some guy caught an eight foot hammerhead shark! Haven't felt too much like swimming since then!

thats just awesome! I would love to go there one day. I had a chance but it would have required reenlisting and taking a chance on where they would send me. they said it would be washington state or Skoalfield barracks in hawaii. I didn't fall for it and left the military after 5 years. Come to find out later they closed the base I was stationed at, Ft Ord calif, and moved them to washington state. you will have to send fishing pics if you get a chance.

I'm going to try to make it. It's been a while, I'm starting to go through withdraw.

I'm up for running whatever.

Well, unfortunately, I don't fish. Can't afford two expensive hobbies! But, I will send some pics of wheeling in that area...if I can ever figure out how to post pics on this board, that is! LOL

When you reply there is a "Host an image" link on top of the message field. click that and register with Serving.com. You can then upload pictures to their website and then cut and paste the link to any thread.. Once you do it once, its pretty simple.

I'll be at Tom's Saturday at 6:00 am will I be meeting anyone there. Would like to get a count that if everyone is there we can leave before 6:30.

I'm planning on going up on saturday night or sunday morning. I will see you guys there I'm running hard blues and blacks if any one wants to run with.

Im in for Sunday. I havent made my mind up if I am running Saturday or not.

My rear winch is ready and hopefully helps out the sway.. Front is rebuilt and hope to go home today to a box with new rope...

I plan on meeting at Tom's, barring present family health issues. I will only be up for saturday and plan on running greens & blues. Once the new truck is done then I deal with tuffer trails.

Well, I couldn't get my wrangler repaired in time for the saturday run, still need a tie rod end to fit my tie rod. NAPA, Konkels and everyone else we couldd thin off didn't have one that fits, looks like a customer made job and I don't remember who fabricated it If I can I will be there for Sunday, but given my luck lately, I will keep my firngers crossed.
