just a thought, you can a newer style d60 for a fraction of the cost of a 78/79 60. And with the money saved you could get a pair of coilovers for the front To make for Installing the front axle easier do to the closeness of the pumpkin being to the driver side c.

I have gone through 2 sets of ball joints in less then 3 years. When I replace this axle, it wont have ball joints.

I would do kingpin 60 you can get mid 80's for about 750

i would think that would depend on driving style, amount of off road miles and tire size. Ive read about alot people using ball joint 60's with out to much issue. Though i wouldn't know myself seeing that i have king pins jocolor
