| Thought it was about time to let everyone know whats been going on at R & S.
As some of you know R & S is building Kim a rock racer / trail buggy and its coming along good. Chris and I have been putting in some time on the build and thought it was time to post some progress pics. I really like the way its coming out Kim you should have a very nice rig when complete, get ready to go fast. Here are some pics I took with my cell phone I will take my camera down and get some more and keep things up to date from here on out.

| From what i see that is a guide line not a rule. I Need to look at it a little closer. But if you read the rules post on pirate that rule started a lot of problems and it was said that was not the rule but a guide line.
here are the rules 19.2 is the cage rule and it says minimum mild steel tubing guideline
http://www.kingofthehammers.com/rulebook.php
let me know how you all take that after you read this

The skins are about done The four link is done Seats brackets are done Transfer case is in and mount is made Radiator is mounted Hood is made (with its own cage !) Its sitting on a set of rollers till the wheels and tires show up then on to mounting the coil overs. Waiting for winch to show up to finish up the front. PSC full hydro steering is on its way. It is a little tall and wide for a buggy but we had to keep in mind the rules and what Kim wanted out of this build. There is a head room rule and with kim's height the seat needs to be up enough for her to be able to see over that V-8. from what I measured it should be a couple inches shorter than my YJ when its at ride height with the tires on it. As far as the grill it has a little more air flow than a factory jeep grill and also a hood scoop to help get ride of some heat. We needed to keep in mind Kim did not want to bump elbows with the person next to her, and also this is a multi purpose buggy not just a racer that is a hard thing to bring all day trail rig and race rig together in to one and make both easy and with comfort. As most people have found out a strictly racing buggy is not the most roomy and comfortable rig. I hope we have blended the two together into a rig Kim will be happy with no matter what she is doing. It will be a fun rig to run that is for sure. | |

| hard to tell from the pictures and I am not trying to nit pick. but is the roof screwed in with self tapers into the tube. I always thought that holes in the tube is a big no no. | |

| Mine held up ok with holes for pop-rivets for the roof... By the way, if you haven't thought about it, a long string or 10 of clear sillycone between the roof and the tubing goes a LONG way to quell buzzing and rattles.. Wide buggies rule! | |

| Checked on the hole drill thing it is not a proplem. Only WEROCK has a proplem with this . RCROCS and KOH says no proplem. | |

| thanks, good to know. I agree with gettting rid of the alum for firewalls, stuff melted away like nothing was even there. I have to pick up some alum today so I'll get some 18 gauge sheet metal while I'm there. | |
