| Hey guys,
I'm working on a project at work where I have to build a test station for 20 little water flow sensors. It will end up being a square grid of little tubes and valves. I was thinking that the best material to build this on would be the thick cutting board material that some people build skid plates out of. Does anyone know where I could buy a piece that is about 2'x3'? I was just at home depot and they had some clear plexi stuff, but nothing as heavy duty as I wanted.
Thanks, Dan | |

| I don't remember where but I've seen buggies use the white cutting board material for the belly pan, help slide over obstacles. I remember they said it was expensive though. See if I can find it

| Danny there are a number of plastic shops in the College park area. The product your thinking of UHMW. I believe its made by Crown Plastics. I know there is two other plastic companies in NJ. Acme Plastics and Reed Plastics.

| Thanks guys.
I found one at US Plastics online and I need to order all sorts of fittings and clamps from them any way so I will likely give that a try. It is $55 for a 1/2" thick piece 48"x24" and they call it Sanatec. The thicker stuff does get pricey quick. | |

| Well this may just make everyone more bored by looking at it, but the cutting board and fittings came in this week. The label said that this 4' x 2' piece was 23 lbs. The board's purpose is to test all 20 of the little black clips (flow sensors) at one time. Water flows in from the right and out the left side of the board. The loose wires connect to the circuit board and tell our machines when the desired amount of water has passed through. Putting this thing together is like playing with Legos. | |

| Well Ryan - now its up to 20 lbs with all the wiring- haha Wired up a 20 position switch to each of the 20 meters on the board. The main switch sends a signal to the oscilloscope and the pulses show up on the screen. No pulses = bad part. If that doesn't put you to sleep, I don't know what will. | |
