Subject: 1st u-joit replacement Wed Apr 25, 2007 2:35 am
The U-joint on my spare shafts were pretty well siezed up so I decided to replace them. This was my first real attempt at this. Rich, Nester and Ryan I have no idea how you guys did this in 15 minutes! It took me all night and the shaft wasn't even in the jeep!
I also wanted to get a little practice doing this at home before I have to replace on on the trail.

Nice pics Danny.....and good job . As far as getting fast all i can say is unfornuately we have way to much practice . But that was great thinking to get accustomed to it. Oh and by the way I once had a front joint that took Treefrog, His brother and I 4hours to just get the b^%& out. And that was in my old very well stocked garage.

hey Danny Rich is right I have changed more of those joints than I can count. but you get better at it everytime. Fresh U-joint caps normally come out faster than the old rusted ones. Good pics dude. having spairs it a great idea.
