| I have a leaking valve stem on the TJ and plan on replacing it tonight. Do I just rip the old one out with the vice grips, lube up the new one and jam it in the hole? Or should I break the bead, pull it out from the inside of the wheel and press the new one in? Never had to mess with one before. Thx | |

| I believe you need to break the tire from the wheel and insert it from the inside. All the ones I've ever installed took a nut on the inside of the rim. | |

I would throw that sucker in the bed of the truck and drop it off on the way to work and pick it up on the way home. But if you do the hilift and strap find someone to video it cause I have never seen it done that way. | |

| I have used the hi lift many times. if you use a pair of dykes and cut the back of the valve stem it will come out easier. I wouldn't pay $20 to do it. its like a 5 min job | |

| I used the highlift and it worked out right away. Matt - thanks for the tip about cutting the bastard. I prolly woulda been tuggin on it all day long I put the new stem in, then cranked up the compressor and the bead set itself. It was pretty easy | |

| Joe - I'll save the skid steer for heavy duty jobs like crushing a 6 pack | |
