borrowing an engine stand from a friend this afternoon. Might start pulling the entire drivetrain out this weekend. I need to go over the YJ completely, it has been a long time since I've had it apart.

3rd members gotta come out (ARB leak)
rear rear(yep I said that for you Chris) needs a new ring and pinion
Driveshafts need serviced, got a couple loose joints
johnny joints need serviced, 1 needs repaired.
Motor has to be swapped.

The motor I bought has the crank position relocation kit on it, Grason said it cost a couple hundred bucks, keep it or stick with the stock CPS?

If you plan on keeping this trans it doesn't matter either way. But if you might upgrade the trans to something that doesn't have a cps window it would be worth keeping. Jake was telling me they aren't cheap.

Parked the YJ in the garage, removed driveshafts and rebuilt them, removed exhaust and welded the leak, removed Atlas and transmission. Mounted replacement 4.0 onto the motor stand and flipped it over to replace the oil pan and to check the bearings. I need to find a used 4.0L oil pan cheap(one that isn't smashed).
Gonna pull the 4.7 another weekend and see if it can be salvaged.

Found that mystical "thump" in the drivetrain. Motor mounts were loose.
