nth degree vs skid row

I am looking for a oil skid plate for a 94 wrangler 6cyl manual. I am looking at the Nth degree one which covers the oil pan for $150ish, or the skid row skid which covers both the oil and transmission for $250ish. Anybody have either one and care to chime in on either? Thanks

I am contemplating the same idea, and probably going to go with the TT just so I can gain that much more clearance.

Nth Degree stuff is awesome!! I would just go with the nth oil pan skid...simple install, great quality, not too bad for oil change time! I was in the same place about oil pan or engine skid and Rusty's was going to make me a custom 1 but UPS lost both. I now decided to just go with the nth oil pan skid after seeing it on Rich's Jeep.

I have a buddy with a brand new TT for sale. He bought it for his rubicon but never got it installed and he's selling the rig now. He also has the oil pan skid for sale. I was gonna buy the TT and I wish I would have gotten it from the start since it has a adapter for a stinger. Would have made that install a lot easier than fabbing the stinger mount for my teraflex belly up. Anyway if you're intersted in either let me know and I'll get some contact info.

Ok. I dont have the money for a tt right now so thats not really an option. Has anyone bashed the transmission because they had just the oil skid? or does the oil skid do agood job of protecting it?

I've got the skid row on my 93 6 cyl. took it to the next level on the install. Since the exhaust dips well below the bell housing it would not allow me to install it very high up. I decided to have a new exhaust tube bent from the header back to the cat converter for about $75 to allow much better clearance. Then I was able to install the skid row oil pan skid much higher up by modifying the front mounts. Having the skid plate go from oil pan all the way back to the cross member allows one solid belly pan to slide on and less edges to catch on the rocks. I haven't seen the nth degree oil pan skid but they do make awesome stuff.

I think the one that I have is the tera flex skid or skid row. I ordered it from Hoaks 4x4 a couple of years ago. it installs in 20 minutes and i haven't hit it yet bot from what i have seen on others it does good.

I am with bill... I clip the front edge of my belly pan (stock) EVERY time... Slowly I am making a home made TT from just High centering everywhere I go .

But seriously... I am going Skid Row after I replace my oil pan (sometime VERY soon, but that is another post).

It goes up to the belly, and should make nice slider.

Once I have my teraflex belly up pan installed (sitting in my closet... just need to get SYE combo and possibly rear control arms) it will be a nice smooth surface to slide on.

If I were to do it over again I would have definetley done the TT. The teraflex belly up is nice and serves it's purpose but I think the nth degree skid is a bit more stout. My teraflex belly up has seemed to bend pretty easily. This might become a more significant problem to rigs with a lower stance. I know this is straying from the original topic of the oil pan or engine skid but i'm just throwing in my experience. I put nth degree up on the stoop with poison spyder and I can't help but love their stuff.

I've got the skid row and it's held up great. It covers from the header back to the TC skid. I used it with the stock TC skid and it helped a lot by creating a flat surface. Don't get me wrong the Nth stuff is top notch (I have thier TT) but the skid row will protect better in my opinion. If down the road you decide to get a TT, just drill a few holes in it and the Skid Row will mount right up to it.
