Jeeps on the Beach 2009....

Normally we do thursday thru sunday. I'm waiting to see what dates Bill and Elva have to work with the boys. There is a chance I don't make it this year or I only come down for the weekend. Unless you guys will be going down one of the weeks we are there with family.

Either one will is fine. We have no preference.

Hi Danny:

I think you just found yourself a new "home away from home". A couple of years ago we had a group of fishermen who regularly, for years stayed at a motel in Hatteras village. When the motel was destroyed during Isabelle, they needed another place. They found us and are so happy here. They come for 3 days in the spring and fall, 5 to 12 rooms at the time and they love it. A I think you and your buddies would too.

As you can see from our website, we have a variety of rooms (all pretty much different) and they are very clean and comfortable. We never stop improving them. Our summer rates (through Labor Day) are $109 for economy, $119 for deluxe, but if you book at least 6 rooms for 3 nights, we can offer you $89 and $99 rates, respectively, for those days in August.

Parking is no problem here. We have people with big trucks who stay here from time to time and there is plenty of space across the street from us (side street) where you could leave 2-3 trucks with trailers.

So, give us a try this summer, we'd love to have you. There are 9-10 restaurants withn a mile radius and a small supermarket across the street. The nearest beach is by the Hatteras lighthouse, 3min drive from us.

this sounds good to me, but when is the final date suppose to be for this trip. i have to get with my wife to check and see if we will be able to go. she asked my about it the other day, so that is a good sign.

As far as dates I was looking at August 13 - 16th. That is Thurs through Sunday.

Danny, the dates are fine with us.
As for the place...the rooms look nice, location is good, the owners are encouraging us to stay and they not only take pets...they like them.
Looks like there are two buildings but they are close together so people can stay in either one depending on the type of room they want and with the picnic tables and BBQ already there, we have a place to hang out together.

works for me as well. Dates are fine, hotel is fine and now I have to decide which jeep goes to the beach. Let me know when to make the reservation. I'm looking to reserve a 2 bedroom suite so the earlier the better. Danny we should mention our group name so we can all refer to that when we make our reservations.

On Google Earth it shows the little supermarket as "Conner's Supermarket". Is there something you are not telling us Danny?

Very good. Yes, I think everyone should call individually to reserve and confirm the reservation. You can tell them that they can cancel up to 48 hrs prior to scheduled arrival, if they need to, but it's better to secure the right room early. You can give them our toll free number 866-456-9983 and the office hours are 9am-10pm.

We are booked.
We got the Deluxe Courtyard King Efficiency that is shown on the website.
If we want to ask for rooms that are close together - ours is #11
$109 + $10 pet fee.

I just said I was with the jeep group arranged through Danny Connor.
No problems.

Cool - I just called and booked the room too.
I went w/ the standard + pet for $99.

Ask for Angie or Bill when you call. Angie had to tell her husband Bill about the group rate this morning for the Jeep group - but now he knows!

Ok we are locked in for vacation. We are heading down early again this year and check in on Sunday August 9th and staying for a full week. We will probably plan on heading down on saturday and perhaps stay near virginia beach sat night. I booked the 2 room suite and there was an extra charge for aaron since Adult is age 12 and up. regular price was 159 a night plus the extra adult but she discounted us the room for $129 a night.

doesn't look like i will be going again, i should not of got my hopes up.betty does not want to leave alli with her moms. and i think she is to young to take with us (2 years old), sorry. i will make it down some time just not sure when

kids LOVE the beach. we are staying rather close to the beach this time so its not far if someone needs a break. i took a nap under a jeep last year, was cool.

I'm keeping this in my sights as a possible last minute excursion. We're not doing our regular OBX trip so I'm going to be itching to get there. If all the stars line up and some cars start leaving this lot I'm going to try to make this.

Yeah there is a last minute chance that we might make it and work it in to the budget this year. If not I will be there next year for sure.
