Here's some update photos. New HD steering shaft and gear box. Floor pan repair with POR 15.
New brake booster and mc on its way. Haven't got the brake lines yet. Valve cover is off and replacing the gasket.
There's wires and hoses there that are obsolete but damn if I know which ones.
To do (ever on going...welcome to the CJ world lol! ): brake lines, body bushings and bolts but have to weld on new body
channels first, motor and tranny mounts...I know there's more just can't think of it right now.

Less essentials: fuel and temp guages don't work, brake light stays on. Did I mention all the leaf spring bolts loose, rear drive shaft bolt loose(don't know the
name but it holds on the u-joint), front hub bolts are loose and the bottom
bolt connecting the tranny and t-case is loose and appears to be broke off. Oh yeah, driver side motor mount was loose and found it by checking for ground for the cb.

Gotta get this thing trail ready for the Jamboree in September...ha. Lack of know how and figuring this stuff out as I go along is slowing progress.
Plus no garage. But it's rewarding doing it myself. jeepchic

I was initially very impressed with the POR 15 but it has begun to just peel off my frame. This is mainly door to poor prep and it was also over rustoleum from previous touch ups which may have effected it. The tractor paint that Chuck used on his YJ seems effective.

I agree with Nick, I tried using it on my fender flares and it ended up just peeling right off. In my error due to poor prep...so if you are going to use it, be sure to look on their website and read all the fine print on how to prep the surface and other finite details about the product... It is a finicky substance

here is a good link for gauges

e-brake problem

for the front hubs I have some item you may need. I have after market lock out hubs 5 bolt with the stud kit installed the knuckles that they are on have the tie rod flip kit already done. Also have a set of stock 6 bolt lockout with hubs. to do the flip kit all you would need is a stock pitman arm.

I agree. It worked great for my brother's frame. but we fallowed the instructions to the T. But for my axles we took some short cuts where any other paint would of worked and it sucked. there are better options out there for people who are lazy like me
