| Time for bigger tires... I am dead set on a set of KM2's I run the BFG All Terrains now, and love them across the board... but they are excellent at nothing... just decent at everything. After everything I have read on the KM2 I think this is the right choice for me, and after seeing how the ATs held up to what I threw at them... So... my question... anyone have the conversion chart for the tire sizes so I can get an equivalent... (215/75/R16 almost 35xwhateverx16) I saw it in a JP(?... or maybe Off Road, 4Wheelers, hmmm ). They had a handy chart that gave you equivalent sizes... but I can't find that issue again in my disaster of a house. Google is no help... tire rack/tire package just gives overall diameter (not width). Most likely going to 16" rim since 15" KM2 is not produced in a lot of sizes... and my 15s are shot anyway. Any help from the archive of knowledge is appreciated. | |

| awesome... thanks...
PS... my cell died a while back too... of course mine was me in a downpour without a top on the jeep...
I hate when they forecast no rain, and you get a 2 minute downpour with no overpass in sight...

| Go to this link and check the following columns, Section Width on Measuring Rim Width and Overall Diameter, to see just how big the tires are. http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/specs/mud-terrain-t-a-km2/3930.html Mark | |

Mark Found that one too... VERY depressing info on it... not all those tire sizes are available... For the size I want I have to go to a 16/17 inch rim... which is really not helping the wallet... Sure my 15s have rock rash... but only 2 really need replacing (1 if I don't replace the spare)... but the 15" sizes are not available at ANY of the dealers BFG recommends... So either the shops don't want to sell them because they have too many 16/17" tires or this report is jumping the gun a bit on release... Guess I could keep wheeling the 33s, til the 15" release, but it will look very odd with this new lift.

| Hey Tony,
I just priced the tires/rims that I run on www.tirepackage.com just to help you price compare. When they have specials they can be pretty cheap. I think I got free mounting/balancing and free shipping when I bought em 2 yrs ago. I would still go w/ BFG over Pro Comp though if the price is right.
Item Description Quantity Price Hi-Speed Mounting and Balancing Part #HiSpeedMB $49.95
4 Pro Comp Radial Mud Terrain Tire, 35x12.50R-15 Part #PCT25035 $100 Instant Rebate Applied Update $751.96- $100.00 $651.96 4 Rock Crawler Series 97 Part #PCW97-5865 $207.96
Subtotal: $909.87 Shipping: $123.95 Total: $1,033.82

| So I did read that you are set on the KM2 but I thought I'd just throw this out your way anyway. I love the Trxus MT and have a set almost new 37x12.5x15 mounted that I may part with. I bought them as street tires and just used them at Jeeps on the Beach but I doubt they have more than 1000 miles on them. http://www.intercotire.com/site35.php | |

| Danny - Same site I have been pricing the KM2s with (among others)... about in line with your quote... I have been watching the rim promos a lot too (buy 3 get 1 free... which equates to a free spare since I would need 5).
I cry every time I see the total... but then reassure myself by entering in the 33s I run now and come a few hundred short... so not much of a cost diff. per tire when you look at it that way.
The tough part to swallow is the new rims... so I have been watching Craiglist and RC Forum (parts bin) a lot too...
Bill - PM sent
Everyone else buying tires... I have been watching tire sites for the past few months... the one Danny posted is BY FAR the most reasonable... I have no affiliation with them, but compared to 4wd, Quadratec, Summit (ShopTruckTire.com) and any other advertised on the weekend programming...
TirePackage.com is the one to go with for price matching... just my .02
