| Do you need to keep the back half for any real reason? Looks like fun. | |

| I didn't want to back-half it back when I did the cage because I am kinda picky on the looks of a back-half and I knew I would fuck it up. And now it would be hard to do it with out redoing the whole cage. I cant sell this cage and start over because it was built so tight in the jeep I wouldn't be able to get it out and in another jeep without cutting it up. There is going to kinda be a floor and the gas tank will be in the way to see the diff while in the seat. I had my brothers cell in there for the past couple of trips. It was a quick install so I never got around to put on fuel filters and making a mount, instead of using the little tabs. So I got a new cell so I can give his back before I mess his up. Today I started installing the pre-pump filters/pickups. Here is mock up. | |

| Looks good, though I'd do the outlet right out the side of the tank - pumps are much happier when fed fuel, not having to suck it up. | |

| yeah I am alittle worried about that. I was wondering if putting in a check valve in would help. I have seen the set up work I don't want to have issues | |

It's not so much something a check valve would help with (then you may also run into flow issues), but more of a gravity-feed issue. I've also seen people with that setup work, and also seen them fighting it when they get low on fuel and the siphon effect doesn't work well. The multi-pickups will help keep you out of trouble though, but it's just that the high pressure pumps don't "pull" fuel very well.. The metal lines in there is by the way.. | |

| I am back working on this thing. At the last big dogs I went to, I broke my transfer case in half. some how i wheeled it the rest of the weekend and didn't find out it was broken till I was getting ready for a trip to RC. When I built the cage I did not make provisions to get the transfer case out the top, and it won't come out the bottom. So out came the saw to cut out the seat brackets. After the seat brackets were cut out I got to thinking about my want list and figured now is the time to do some of it. Plan is to lower cage. It looks too tall for my taste, there is a lot of room above my head. Its also tight to get in the trailer and I need to fit bigger tires, at some point. Ashley is laying back but I'm not. To do this the easiest I am going to take it off the bottom. I pulled the cage. ] After cage was out moved on to next thing on the list, fix rockers. They are pretty beat up and I get stuck on them a lot Body mounts have see better days After cage goes back in I have to fix the floor or lack there of Driver side is almost finished. I ran out of bolts, I have to trim the front and finished welding it to the frame. Then to start on the passangers side | |

| Can't bust on ya for not washing it first, looking at my shit. Guessing you are already planning on welding in new seat mounts since lowering the cage will lower the seats more and I think I read you cut the old ones out. Ready by next weekend? Still need a tcase? | |

| Maybe a change of plans. I have a good deal on a built auto with RMVB and artcarr shifter. So I am going to ditch the 231 and just run the d300. My 3550 was hurting anyway. How much is a 3550 worth that needs a rebuild? | |

| How hard is the 3550 swap? My AX15 is in okay shape but to have a 3550 on back up to rebuild might be a worth while investment. What is a beat 3550 worth? | |
