| Fixed the leak behind the ancient sink/stove/fridge unit. pulled that bitch out and put in a utility sink. Had to move the plumbing but no biggie. Mounted the new tires on the CJ rims. Didn't mount them on the vehicle yet because i want to read up on adjusting the caddy calipers first. pads are off the rotor by about a 1/4 inch, way too much. took part the YJ steering box and mount. bottom of frame was toast and the frame was cracked on the side. cut out the busted sections and cut out a new piece to patch the frame. Need to drill some holes before welding it into place. also need new bolts. one side bolt was busted but came out with vice grips. other bolt was bent. two lower bolts were seized up. Installed the rear transfer case yoke and driveshaft from the last trip breakage. tomorrow i'll finish the repair on the YJ. Gotta do some reading for the CJ calipers. | |

| YJ steering is fixed. had to cut out the bottom of the frame and weld some plate with new bolts through it. CJ tires are mounted on the wheels. Didn't fix the front locker yet, didn't want to tear it apart and not be able to get the CJ out while waiting for parts, besides I don't need no stinking locker. | |

| New motor will be built the week of the 8th-11th and installed the weekend of March 12th. Atlas is NOT in yet and they are saying 1-2 weeks. This will be a close one! | |

| Update: Motor is just about done at the machine shop. Todd has most of the new parts including new bearings throughout the lower end, new rod bolts main bearing cap bolts, cam bearings, ARP bolts where it counts. New heads, cam, water pump, starter etc. Using an LS1 intake and flipping it backwards to put the air cleaner in the cab. He's going to try to fit long tube headers in there(not likely once he sees the mess I got in there). going with a 3 quart accumulator, new high quality oil pain with baffles, locking dip stick as required. Atlas is still not here, keeping the doubler until it arrives. tick tock | |

| I was told that the truck intake flows better, sound like you are going to have a pretty sweet rig (not that it was not sweet before) | |

| Update: Motor is being built, 90% of parts are in. Todd said the motor should be ready for install by Thursday March 17, I'll be dropping of the CJ that day. He said the install should go quickly but the 26th practice may be pushing it, we'll see. Plans changed a little, now going with a slightly more powerful cam and LS6 intake, 575 hp is the target. Mentioned that is neighbor Mike Vaders (drives Black Stallion monster truck) has about 150 acres that he was given permission to test/tune on. I asked if it was possible to bring a co-racer and he said it wouldn't be a problem the property is a large open field so nothing exciting except being able to open it up. There are plans for moving lots of boulders from the woods into the field to make a rock garden. On a side note I will have to get to Rausch to wheel the new property, particularly F since there is a new drop/climb there and some new lines on Devils Den that was mentioned on the Rausch forum with a "hint, hint" in there. | |

| Update: Motor is IN! He is porting the intake/throttle body, needs to install the injectors, exhaust, intake(backwards), and is doing the wiring harness now. Also needs an alternator and a few little things like starter bolts etc. He hopes to start it saturday morning. My trailer is still in the shop as expected. Axles are supposted to be delivered tomorrow and they said they can install them the same day as long as they didn't run into any problems. Atlas: still not here. I called AA direclty and they said they would likely be caught up to that order by end of May or beginning of JUNE. sucks. | |

| Motor is done and is doing the vacuum bleed of the cooling system. He is doing the brake in procedure. Did some rewiring, new gauges(Matt I'll get your's back to you). Looks like I'll be testing it Thursday. Plan is to take saturday to install air bumps, fix brakes, fix the front bent driveshaft, rebuild the passenger rear coilover, install lights and a few maintenence items. Hopefully I can go to Rausch on Sunday for some testing/tuning. Then Head up to Rausch on Thurs or Friday before the race. | |

| Juggy is running well! Still have about 6 hours work to be ready. Todd is installing all new gauges today and I'll pick it up after work. Thursday I'm heading up to Chris Riley's shop as soon as the boys are kicked out to school so I can drop off the LT1 to it's new owner. Then over to Nicks work to finish the list. Friday at 3 is the pre-run. | |

| Juggy has been pressure washed twice now. Front 2 piece shaft is bent and broken, carrier bearing is fubar. Tranny pan is busted from being struck by the driveshaft, no internal damage thankfully.
Monday: order PSC pumps and pulleys, tranny pan(NEED FLUID), brake switch, Race Radio, FOA Eyeletx2. Tuesday: Pay Todd, pick up tranny pan, gasket & tranny fluid. Wednesday: Call Todd-Is Dyno a go? When? Fix tranny pan-remove front skid and leave off, replace pan. Remove stub shaft. After DYNO tune, CJ to home and remove PSC pump(return to Dan)
May 7/8 & 14/15 Install air bumps paint firewall patches PSC pump, pulley, belt taillight reflectors Install mirrors Locktite coilover eyelets x5 trailer spare Install oil pan skid Suck down winch Install GPS Install steering column charge all coilovers Fuel cell (install pickups, move H2O pipes) Wire in brake lights
When Atlas ships move CJ to F&S Todd: Install Atlas, Atlas e-brake (vette handle, need cable) Universal shifters, torque converter, driveshafts x2 for spares, fix oil filter leak,

Todd: Install Atlas, Atlas e-brake (vette handle, need cable) Universal shifters, torque converter, driveshafts x2 for spares, fix oil filter leak,
List slightly shorter. Took a lot longer than expected to get the 32 gallon tank in. Had to remove the water pipes, radiator, battery, cut off all mounting hardware for the raidator and fuel cell mount, accumulator, fuel pump and filter, lights etc etc. New tank in and it will take an act of god to get it back out. Fortunately it fit right between the firewall and shock crossmember but I had to beat the firewall with a hammer to get enough clearance. It is fully assembled again with a new route for the water pipes. Need to put a longer fuel line in because the pump sets up about 6" on the tank, needs mounted solid. Juggy wouldn't start to load it on the trailer. fuel pump was running with no load so I removed the tank side fuel line and filled it with as much gas as the line could hold. started right up after that. Atlas will be in on Tuesday. I took the Juggy to Todd's place Sunday night so he can dissassemble the transfer cases and swap in a higher stall torque converter. New motor is not happy with the low stall speed. Hopefully it will be assembled by thursday so we can do some dyno tuning before the weekend. Then I can finish the list above before the race. | |

| The cooler needs to be moved down so that when doing long climbs it doesn't become an air trap. When they pull in air they start shooting fluid out the cap. Also on comp vehicles we always run a catch can off the reservoir so that during extreme angles it doesn't spit fluid everywhere.
