| figured I blow the dust off this one since it's been a while. The brown Santa showed up today and left a few parts. yukon 5.13 gears with install kits, yukon 35 spline spool for the rear, and yukon 35 spline 60 axels I totally forgot that the master install kit comes with new front axle seals so I'm good to go on them. I'm hoping to line bore the rear 60 axle monday and my cousin is supposed to help me install the gears Tuesday or wedsday giving me to the last moment thur to put them back in | |

| I guess your all right. What had me worried about tying it into the cage work was that my c pillar was just welded to the floor and not tied into the frame since the coil bucket was i the way. But since thats getting all cut out ill be able to go ahead and tie it in. (which will make me feel a whole lot better) Any way this is what i was thinking, kind of simple but easily installed, purple being the bars and maroon being the shock. Also got the new tires in, i was kind of disappointment that my 38.5" tire wasn't much bigger then my burned out 36's. Decided that i was going to move the rear axle back 3" on top the 1" or two it had. new stance which will be around 112" once I move the front axle forward another 1" or so. picked up a few parts for the rear decided to ditch the idea for a rear winch bumper do to the fact that it would push the rear bumper out further then i wanted screwing up my departure. So I just decided i'm going to weld in some 4x2 box steel across the back with a receiver welded in and work off that. i'm supposed to pick up the coilovers and my new beadlocks this saturday. So it looks like this project is going to get kicked into 3rd gear. | |

| i think it would be easier and still be strong enough to do the straight lines off your cage, you could always put another straight shot for support going up/down in the middle of the mount to help | |

| Joe the lower mounts are not adjustable, they pretty much have to go on top of the axle. Only way to mount the correct length is place the upper mount at the height it needs to be. Find out where it needs to be and then come up with a way to mount it. First pic looks more structurally sound for the whole vehicle. | |

| I understand about the mounting thing, I'm just trying to come up with a way to mount the CO were i won't have all this tube going every were. I may just end up doing like that first picture but when people mount there front hoops they don't need tubes coming off the top of the CO mounts except for the one that goes across the engine bay. So just out of curiosity (other then more structural support) what makes the back different then the front to need the extra tubes coming off the CO mounts? | |

| my thought is that it is primarily structural integrity of the vehicle if talking about a buggy, the tubing has to be there for strength of the vehicle. Then if the coilover needs to be mounted higher they throw the bent tube on there to create a mount. Honestly I would do like the first picture, yeah it adds weight and you have a lot more tube everywhere but that is cheap insurance, especially if you have Matt or Nick spot ya. | |
