I would love to do that on that thursday. I'm heading towards Rausch about 10, have to work an hour in the morning. I'll be near Rausch around 12. instead of running there I would like to see if this thing is safe to travel fast and get a feel for how it handles. more important than seeing if it will crawl. | |

| Looking forward to coming up thursday. Only a couple things to do before then like paint numbers on and top off the tranny fluid and such. If the weather allows and others will be there I'll camp at Chris's house. so who's planning on coming up and when? won't need to run at Rausch on thurs. | |

| Most of the course is high or med speed with only a few rock crawl areas. It still should be a fast winning time. Length of each lap was changed from 6 miles to 14 miles, still 5 laps. Anyone coming to the race that has a 40" tire I could use as a spare? | |

| Awesome, Awesome, Awesome!!!!! Thanks a million Chris, Chuck, Matt, Nick and others for helping to make this happen. Had the time of my life out there and look forward to the next race. Motor ran GREAT, very strong. Decided I'm keeping it for the next 2 races. Hate to see all that hard work go to waste. Got some things to fix but nothing really major. this time I'll have time to work out the problems before the next race. gonna take the thermostat out, chase air bubbles and retest the system to make sure it keeps cool. driveshaft can be moved back at the first part to allow more room for the 2nd piece to collapse. going to get lighter tender coils and the triple rate hardware. fix the caliper, adjust shifters, fix the brake pedal linkage so it doesn't fall off again causing the pedal to fall to the floor. few other problems and test test test. Thanks again for all the help and support! | |

| Broke a bunch of stuff, would have helped to have a shakedown run but the CJ wasn't having any part of that. Ordered a new carrier bearing for the front driveshaft. going to move it back so the long section has more room to collapse. Ordered a new carrier bearing for the steering shaft, already have a new U joint. Ordered a spare coilover and a replacement billet spring retainer. Ordered 250# 18" coils to replace the 300# 18" coils. FOA thinks it will resolve the loose spring issue after the preload adjustment is done. looking into a sway bar, way too much body roll. Going to remove the thermostat and bleed the air better, raise the rear as far as possible during bleeding. Erik miller doesn't run a stat. still have to fix the caliper, center the steering cylinder, fix front diff leak and fix the brake pedal linkage. Also want to put some rear lights on and some mirrors. Did I miss anything? | |

| are you going you change to a bolt on caliper. After seeing two people from this past race have this issue I looked into it and found that it is a common problem with that style caliper | |

| Blackbird has a kit. And solid sells a bracket. Only down fall is it uses the smaller 3/4 Chevy caliper | |
