I did for awhile but not as straight of a line as I wanted. Cutting wheel gives a nice straight cut so I can remove a middle section of the grill and bring the top and bottom back together again and weld it up nicely.

| Front tubework is now welded in. also made some hood spreader bars and welded those in. Started putting together the parts for the hydraulic steering, need a new pulley so I ordered that for $26. planned for rear firewall since it has to be shoulder height since running a rear fuel cell | |

I should have saved all those beer cases and used them for wallpaper in the man cave. I'm close enough to WV for that.

| window nets are "on the floor and will be done by friday". I sent templates to DJ Safety to have them made for my window size. that way i can make sure i have plenty of room to get my fat ass through the window. ordered just a single axle winch. might just use the 9k winch for the front and the axle winch for the rear. also ordered synthetic lines for both my vehicle winches. I will have 1 new cable for sale shortly, off the bulldog 9500 winch. the one off the yj isn't worth saving. | |

| If you're looking for something to do this weekend I could always use a second set of hands. Plan is to install the full hydraulic steering, mount fuel cell and battery and if the coilovers come in I'll be installing those this weekend too. | |

| patched some more firewall and floor holes today. started mounting the shifter covers and sealing the hole. Installed a YJ steering assembly since the CJ assembly was wobbly and had internal damage, gained tilt steering in the process. located the ignition wires...I think, and moved them where they will be easily accessed for the push button start. installed the hydraulic steering pump and v belt pulley. started mocking up the hydraulic steering ram mount but having difficulty finding a good spot where it will give full steer and not get in the way of the differential cover.(running an ARB we have to think about those things). discovered i have a bent passenger side high steer arm, twisted actually and no longer has the 10 degree taper for correct alignment. Then had to move a bush from the back yard to the front yard for elva and mow the yard and fix dinner for the boys. tomorrow I shift to 3rd gear again. | |

| You could always make the ram plate a with a quick disconnect. say weld a smaller tube on the axle and have larger tube go over it then put a pin through it. So when you have to get to the arb you just pull the pins and slide out the ram plate. | |

| thought about that but free play in steering at high speed = mass destruction. I'll get it close and weld it up and if theres a problem cut and weld again. Tight fit in all directions as it is. Joe do you have any pics of your mount? | |
